Wallbank and Kasischke lead Dirt Dogs Cross Country Series

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - (October 5, 2002) - After four races of the Asics Dirt Dogs Cross Country Series, the rankings are beginning to take shape. Based on his best three scores, Bryan Wallbank has taken the lead in the men's open division with a victory and two seconds for 52 points. Kathy Kasischke has two victories and a second for 56 points for a narrow lead over Joey Bonfiglio and Kim Brown in the women's competition.

In the masters (ages 40-49), Jim Walsh has three victories for 60 points, the maximum he can carry into the November 16 Championships. Kim Rouse also has the maximum three victories to lead the masters 40-49 women.

For the masters (ages 50 and up), Greg Wilson's three victories have given him maximum points. On the women's side for that age group, Teri Fitzgibbons is also at the maximum with four victories.

With three more scoring races, and with the Championships worth double points, there is still time for significant changes in the standings.
