SAN DIEGO, Calif. - (August 30, 2003) - The fourth year of the Asics Dirt Dogs Cross Country Series begins August 30 with the San Diego Track Club Balboa 4-Mile Cross Country Race.
The 2003 edition of the series features a few changes from previous years. First, a team competition has been added, with $1000 distributed to four divisions (Men's and Women's Open, and Men's and Women's Masters). Second, the individual scoring in each race has has been expanded to 33 places in each of the six divisions, with total awards to individuals remaining at $3000. Third, on-line registration for all races is available. Finally, the Championship November 15 will return to its traditional format of separate races for men and women.
